Sam Clark

Founder and chief executive of Moovi, and author of the Moovi Regulatory Review.

Sam Clark is the founder and chief executive of Moovi, the operating platform for the removals and storage industry.

He began in the trade in 2008 as a porter at Pickfords, working four days a week from the age of fifteen. At sixteen he moved into technology sales, and at eighteen took his first enterprise role. Sixteen years in technology followed, working in regulated markets on procurement governance, compliance and digital transformation, latterly selling into the NHS and Crown Commercial Service.

In March 2025 he left to start his own consultancy and funded it by returning to the vans as a day job, working for removals operators in Sussex and Kent. That year on the floor, alongside owners with decades in the trade, produced the requirements for what became Moovi. He worked his last removal shift in March 2026, the same month the company signed its first customer.

He is the author of the Moovi Regulatory Review, a free twice-yearly summary of every regulatory and cost change affecting the moving and storage industry, and of the Moovi Dispatch, a series on the economics of the trade.
